We are happy to announce that Dr. Sayan Ghosh has received a K99/R00 NIH Pathway to Independence Award for his project entitled "Deciphering the role of mitochondrial/autophagy dysfunction in regulating inflammatory processes during AMD pathogenesis". This award will fund his work from September 1, 2023-August 31, 2025.
K99/R00 awards are intended to help transition outstanding postdoctoral researchers with a mentored research position into independent faculty positions. The K99 award will provide Sayan with research support from NIH during this transition to help him begin an independent research career.
We are incredibly proud of Sayan and all of his hard work and look forward to watching him flourish in the next stage of his career!
