We are happy to announce that Dr. Sayan Ghosh has received the BrightFocus Foundation Macular Degeneration Postdoctoral Fellowship Award for his project "Understanding the role of Akt2 signaling in inflammatory processes in age-related macular degeneration (AMD)". This award will fund his work from July 1, 2021 to June 30, 2023.
Postdoctoral fellowship awards are intended for young researchers in their final stages of mentored training. These awards fund projects in an established laboratory that will serve as the basis for the applicant's own independent research career. Dr. Ghosh's achievement has been featured in the recent PittWire newsletter .
