Drs. Meysam Yazdankhah and Sayan Ghosh have presented their work at the Neuro-Immune Axis: Reciprocal Regulation in Development, Health and Disease meeting that was held in Long Beach, California. The goal of this symposium was to explore the interface between the nervous and immune systems during development, homeostasis, and disease. The meeting focused on the mediators, mechanisms, and implications of neuro-immune crosstalk in the central and peripheral nervous systems as well as emerging areas such as the neuronal regulation of peripheral immune function and the influence of the microbiota on the brain.
